Return to posting

You may have noticed a slight drop in posting frequency over the past few months.  I was fortunate enough to travel through Europe for a couple weeks, and I’m finally back and recovering from the crippling jet lag.
Surprisingly, free wi-fi wasn’t as easy to come by as expected while abroad, so my email and RSS […]

a year of flickr

I found myself extremely lucky to have traveled more (and further away from home) in 2006 than ever before. The year in cities:

Davidson, NC
Charlotte, NC
London, England
Oxford, England
other sites and cities all over England
Paris, France
Athens, GA
Augusta, GA
New York City, NY
Hilton Head, SC
Elberton, GA

I recently found out that you can view your flickr photos in calendar […]

Christmas 2006 disc golf tour

The 2006 “Disc of Fire” tour took us to the heavily-wooded Wildwood Park course, and then to Elberton Park where we found the Lake Russell disc golf course, filled with long, winding fairways perfect for practicing our throws. 7:30 AM - Arrive at London Gatwick airport to the sight of guards with enormous heavy weaponry. Begin multiple check-in and security checks.
12:20 PM - Board British Airways flight.
12:30 […]

Updated itinerary and the final day

It looks like the voyage home is still on, despite the massive amount of flight cancellations into and out of England. We’re leaving an extra hour early (5AM BST) to board the bus for London, where we’ll then begin to trudge through security.  I’ll be amazed if we leave the tarmac as planned.
I was […]

London Round 3

Tuesday, August 8th: I left Oxford on the 11:00AM train to London-Paddington, and planned on meeting up with Hollander’s class at the BBC. The ride into London was uneventful, but I was able to finish up some research for my final paper on witchcraft. Oh how I miss train travel. Above […]
