Seasonal change

Fall is finally coming to Athens.

Updated itinerary and the final day

It looks like the voyage home is still on, despite the massive amount of flight cancellations into and out of England. We’re leaving an extra hour early (5AM BST) to board the bus for London, where we’ll then begin to trudge through security.  I’ll be amazed if we leave the tarmac as planned.
I was […]

London Round 3

Tuesday, August 8th: I left Oxford on the 11:00AM train to London-Paddington, and planned on meeting up with Hollander’s class at the BBC. The ride into London was uneventful, but I was able to finish up some research for my final paper on witchcraft. Oh how I miss train travel. Above […]

The Montacute House is a 17th century, Elizabethan-era, home surrounded by gardens. It also featured an extension of the National Portrait Gallery’s collections with paintings […]

A crosstown trip to Jericho

After hearing about Jericho, the cool, hip part of Oxford, for several weeks, we finally walked there tonight in search of dinner after a grueling day spent glued to computer screens. It was about a 10 minute walk NW of Trinity College. After checking out several menus, we decided on Branca. […]

The Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology

I went to bed at 10:30 last night still feeling horrible. The general feeling of sickness continues, but I decided to go to the Ashmolean Museum at 11:00, something I’ve been meaning to do since I arrived in Oxford.

Founded in 1683, it’s Britain’s oldest museum and its collection gathers everything from East to West […]
