Updated itinerary and the final day

It looks like the voyage home is still on, despite the massive amount of flight cancellations into and out of England. We’re leaving an extra hour early (5AM BST) to board the bus for London, where we’ll then begin to trudge through security.  I’ll be amazed if we leave the tarmac as planned.

I was able to visit some places in Oxford today without worrying about papers and massive reading loads.  After some UGA meetings on travel status, I walked to Christ Church, the Bodleian Library, the Divinity School, and spent a frustrating hour trying to cash Traveler’s Cheques.  Here are some photos from the day: flickr.

As far as security is concerned, this is the very best time to fly if you are concerned about flying. I have no doubt that the airlines are doing EVERYTHING possible for the safety of those flying and in airports. Please call me at Grannie’s when you get to Athens tomorrow night so that I know you’ve made it safely home. I hope you had a nice day today enjoying Oxford and no paper writing!! It’s a shame you all don’t have an extra week to just travel around the area with one another since you worked SO hard during the summer session.

I just got your second post card today. : )

Happy Flying!
Love~Mom, Bec, Granny, Um, Chloe, Lloyd, and Gussie
